Baby Ewok

I designed this costume for my baby girl Lillian for Halloween this past year. It's not too immaculate. I was planning to do all kinds of detail work like top stitching, feather and bone button embellishments, but I ran out of time. She probably would have ruined it anyway if there had been fascinating things to eat like feathers and buttons. But the main point is. I REALLY wanted her to be an Ewok because she has such perfect cheeks for it. However, NO COMPANY has EVER made an Ewok Costume EVER! Pretty much every other Star Wars Character has had a costume at some point or another, but not Ewoks! What's the deal people? I mean, it's almost like a bear except way cooler...
(or nerdier, depending on who you are . . . Go nerds! )

Anyway, I think she looks adorable despite the simplicity of her attire.

I think I actually used more elements from the skunk and the lion than the bear. And for the head dress I just winged it, except for the ears, I think I used the lion ears.

P.s. Yes that is the same backdrop as in "Autumn Portrait" [link] . It has since been a yearly fall decoration and photo backdrop that my parents have used many times on Halloween for their grandkids pictures. But this year I took it back!
